Strong to Severe Storms Possible TuesdayOTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) -We had a mix of sun and clouds to start off the workweek in Southern Iowa and Northern Missouri. Overnight, lows will cool into the mid 60s with a partly cloudy sky. Tuesday morning we’ll wake up to scattered showers and a few rumbles of thunder. The first round of showers should exit the area by the early afternoon leaving behind a partly cloudy sky. However, a second round of storms will move in after 5 in the afternoon and continue through midnight. This round of storms could be strong with damaging winds, large hail, and tornadoes all possible. Heavy rainfall is also expected with these storms. Some places could see 2 or more inches of rainfall making flash flooding a concern. Make sure to be weather aware.6 hours ago
