Whatever our age, capacity, Church calling, or location, we are as one, called to the work to help Him in His harvest of souls until He comes again.

The intensity of our desire to share the gospel is a great indicator of the extent of our personal conversion.

Pray that under the divine management of such things, the missionary opportunity you want is already being prepared in the heart of someone who longs for and looks for what you have.

We need to reach out and extend our friendship to others regardless of whether they are interested in the gospel or not. We must not be too selective in identifying those we feel are worthy or appreciative of our attention. The spirit of true Christian fellowship must include everyone.

There are lives to brighten. There are hearts to touch. There are souls to save.

If you're not a full-time missionary with a missionary badge pinned on your coat, now is the time to paint one on your heart.

You will remember that I have invited the youth of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to enlist in the Lord's youth battalion to participate in the greatest cause on earth today—the gathering of Israel. I issued this invitation to our youth because they are usually gifted in reaching out to others and sharing what they believe in a convincing fashion.

Studying the gospel and sharing it daily can be accomplished by anyone with or without an official call. Please remember that it doesn't take a name tag to do missionary work!

The preparation of future missionaries begins in the family.

The nearer we get to our Heavenly Father, the more we are disposed to look with compassion on perishing souls.

The gospel message you share will be accepted more readily if your Christlike example is evident in the ongoing pattern of your posts.

How can we possibly take the gospel to all the world and redeem the dead at the same time? I don't know, but the power and energy to do so must and will come by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Be grateful, be smart, be clean, be true, be humble, be prayerful.

If we are going to fill the world with goodness and truth, then we must be worthy to receive inspiration so we can bless the lives of our Heavenly Father's children.

And now, I ask, how righteousness and truth are going to sweep the earth as with a flood? I will answer. Men and angels are to be co-workers in bringing to pass this great work, and Zion is to be prepared.

The greatest need in the world today is faith in God and courage to do His will.

I exhort you to sweep the earth with messages filled with righteousness and truth—messages that are authentic, edifying, and praiseworthy—and literally to sweep the earth as with a flood.

We exercise appropriate faith in our Master by involving ourselves in the work of the Master.

Never pity missionaries; envy them. They are where the real action is — where life and death, sin and grace, Heaven and Hell converge.

Asking every member to be a missionary is not nearly as crucial as asking every member to be a member! Thank you for living the gospel.

Understand that it's not your job to convert people. That is the role of the Holy Ghost. Your role is to share what is in your heart and live consistent with your beliefs.

People do not join the Church because of what they know. They join because of what they feel, what they see and want spiritually.

I am convinced that missionary work is not easy because salvation is not a cheap experience. Salvation never was easy...How could we believe it would be easy for us when it was never, ever easy for Him?

But remember, the Lord has never required expert, flawless missionary efforts. Instead, "the Lord requireth the heart and a willing mind."

The best antidote I know for worry is work. The best medicine for despair is service. The best cure for weariness is the challenge of helping someone who is even more tired.

When the Lord delivers this person to your view, just chat—about anything. You can't miss. You don't have to have a prescribed missionary message. Your faith, your happiness, the very look on your face is enough to quicken the honest in heart.

A missionary is not called to a place; rather, he or she is called to serve.

But perhaps even more important than speaking is listening. These people are not lifeless objects disguised as a baptismal statistic. They are children of God, our brothers and sisters, and they need what we have.

I do not believe, collectively speaking, that there is any body of people that's any collective circle of individuals are prayed for on the face of the earth than the LDS missionaries.

When all is said and done, if the world is going to be saved, we have to do it.

We have come not to take away from you the truth and virtue you possess...Keep all the good that you have, and let us bring to you more good.

Our main task is to declare the gospel and do it effectively. We are not obligated to answer every objection. Every man eventually is backed up to the wall of faith, and there he must make his stand.

This cause will roll on in majesty and power to fill the earth. Doors now closed to the preaching of the gospel will be opened.

Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply.

It's very important that the messenger be worthy of the message. We ask you to look a certain way and act a certain way because of the message.

All of those called to the ministry...are given the gifts needed to perform the work whereunto they are called. These gifts are always the ones needed for the particular work at hand.

It [Missionary Work] is by definition the most important thing you can do in the world, in time or eternity. For this reason you are engaged in the saving of the human soul. And that is the highest and holiest work in the universe.

I have never been greatly concerned over the number of baptisms that I had or that other missionaries had. My satisfaction has come from the assurance that I did what the Lord wanted me to do and that I was an instrument in His hands for the accomplishment of His purposes.

As you entered the mission field you concluded one phase of life and began another. From this point on, you are wholly responsible for what you do and most importantly for who you become.

The key is to remember that faith and obedience are still the answers—even when things go wrong, perhaps especially when things go wrong.

Generally speaking, the most miserable people I know are those who are obsessed with themselves; the happiest people I know are those who lose themselves in the services of others.

While returned missionaries would not wear the badge of a full-time missionary, they could possess the same resolve and determination to bring the light of the gospel to a world struggling to find its way.

Returned missionaries, are you still seeking to be converted, or are you caught up in the ways of the world?

If you are criticizing others, you are weakening the Church. If you are building others, you are building the kingdom of God. As Heavenly Father is kind, we also should be kind to others.

The Holy Ghost makes an ideal traveling companion.

I want to promise you there are great blessings in store for you if you continue to press forward with the zeal you once possessed as a full-time missionary.

Our commitment is supposed to be a test. It is supposed to be hard. It is supposed to be impractical in the terms of this world.

Never let your faith be difficult to detect.

To heed is to give careful attention. Heeding those who do not believe in Christ will not help you find Him.

I call on you returned missionaries to rededicate yourselves, to become reinfused with the desire and spirit of missionary service.

As disciples of Jesus Christ, we ought to do all we can to redeem others from suffering and burdens. Even so, our greatest redemptive service will be to lead them to Christ.

Let's make sharing our faith online more a part of our daily life.

God's commandments are strict but not restrictive. They protect us from spiritual and physical danger and prevent us from getting lost.

Words that may be firm in information can be soft in spirit.

The Saints should not imagine that because they know the truth and the Work of God at the present time, that they will always know these things and therefore be able to stand. If they lose the Holy Spirit through their transgressions, from that moment their knowledge respecting the Work of God ceases to increase and becomes dead.

Blessings to you for wanting to go and trying to go. Don't apologize for coming home early, and please don't think you are inadequate or a failure. I want you to take the faith that came from your months or weeks of service and cherish that forever.
